2026 Spring Little League Softball


Welcome to the Reno American Little League Spring Softball Season! Our home fields are at Terrace Sports Complex and NW Fields (Clayton Middle School) in NW Reno.  As a reminder, as we grow our RALL softball program, there is a possibility that we may inter-league with nearby little league softball programs and play on fields throughout the Reno/Sparks area in addition to or instead of our home fields. Thank you for helping to grow the sport of softball in the Northwest Reno area!

Medical Releases are required for every player. Complete, print, and turn in at one of the three document days or before Skills Assessment/Tryouts (Mandatory to be able to participate in Skills Assessment/Tryouts).

Division Descriptions:

*Ages below are "Softball League Ages" - the age of the child before December 31, 2025.

Divisions :
  • Farm - Machine Pitch: 6-8 yo
  • Minors - Player Pitch/Coach Pitch: 8-11 yo
  • Majors - Player Pitch: 11-12 yo

IMPORTANT DATES

Registration:
  • Registration Opens: December 1st, 2025
  • Regular Registration: December 1st, 2025 - January 11th, 2026
  • Late Registration: January 12th - February 22nd (or until division are filled)
  • Close Dates: February 22nd, but Divisions will close as spots are filled, so don't wait!

Document Check Days:
  • Saturday, Jan. 17th, 2026, 9:00-11:00am (Mae Anne Fire Station) 
  • Thursday, Jan. 22nd, 2026, 5:00-7:00pm (Bully's on Robb)
  • Saturday, Jan. 24th, 2026, 9:00-11:00am (Mae Anne Fire Station) 

Tryouts / Draft/Team Placement:
  • Interested Coaches Meeting: Saturday January 31st at 7pm (Mae Anne Fire Station)
  • Tryouts/Skills Assessment: Time/Location TBD
  • Softball Draft: Time/Location TBD
  • Team Placement: Teams formed after the skills assessment/tryout

Division Descriptions:

*Ages below are "Baseball League Ages" - the age of the child before August 30, 2026.

Developmental Divisions (No tryouts and No Playoffs)
  • T-Ball: 5-6 yo (*4 yo with parent as the head coach) - hitting off the tee, beginner level, teaching basics; players are rotated in positions; no tryouts.
  • Farm 6-8 yo - hitting off pitching machine, already know the basics, being able to field grounders and throw to 1st base; players are rotated in positions; no tryouts.
  • AA: 7-9 yo - player/coach pitch from rubber; this division mirrors Farm but really focuses on developing pitchers; no tryouts; no playoffs. (8-9 yo optional to attend tryouts for potential Minors placement)

Competitive Divisions: (Tryouts and Playoffs)
  • Minors (AAA): 8-11 yo - player pitch only, stealing bases, situational awareness, basics are typically known; if you sign up for Minors, you must attend tryouts; 10's and 11's must tryout to be placed in AAA or Majors and cannot play down to AA.
  • Majors: 10-12 yo - player pitch only, a step above Minors; 10's, 11's and 12's must tryout to be placed in AAA or Majors, but 12 yo's have to play Majors and can't play down to AAA.
  • Juniors: 13-14 yo - player pitch only, a step above Majors; 60’/90’ fields.

  • Registration Late Fee Starts January 11th (+$25)
Late Registration:
  • Majors + Minors - January 11th - February 1st, 2026 (or as divisions are filled)
  • T-Ball, Farm, + AA - January 11th - February 8th, 2026 (or as divisions are filled)
  • Juniors - January 11th - February 22nd, 2026 (or as division is full)
  • Closes February 1st (Minors/Majors), February 8th (T-Ball, Farm, AA), and February 22nd (Juniors)
  • Divisions will close as spots are filled, so don't wait!
