2024 Fall Softball

Fall Ball is a 7-week long season focused on player development, It is a great opportunity for players to improve their skills in all aspects of the game.  The fall season will start practices on August 19th , games will start after Labor Day (September 3rd) and run through October 19th. There will be no games the week of October 7th-12th for WCSD Fall Break. We hope to have skills clinics, practices, and games to help develop and grow our softball program (specifics TBD). We will try to reschedule if we can if there are any cancellations due to weather, smoke, lightning, etc. We may end up rescheduling games the last full week in October if we have the field availability (Oct 21st-26th).

League ages based on 2025 softball league age and birth year: i.e. league age 12 is anyone born in 2012

Cost: Minors Softball: $125.00 / player (no family discounts in fall ball because of reduced fees)

We plan to have 2 games/week (total of about 10-12 games), and will reschedule if we can if there are any cancellations due to weather, smoke, lightning, etc. We may end up rescheduling games the last full week in October if we have the field availability (Oct 21st-26th).

Players should register for the division they plan on trying out for or have to play in 2025 because they aged out of the previous division. Note that the 2025 league age is used in fall. Example: If your child is 8 in 2024 but turns 9 in August 2025, then they are considered league age 9 and will have to play in Minors. If your child is 12 but turns 13 before August 31st, 2025, they will have to play in the Juniors division.

Fall Ball division placement does not qualify players for same division in Spring 2025. Only spring seasons qualify players for same division if they haven't aged out, but they could be moved up to next division.

Cost:
T-ball $100/player (no family discounts in fall ball because of reduced fees)

T-Ball (ages 5-6)
Manager can select up to 6 player requests
  • Sept 1, 2020-Aug 31, 2021- 4 year old *Parent must be head coach of team if 4 year old is playing.*
  • Sept 1, 2019-Aug 31, 2020 - 5 years old
  • Sept 1, 2018-Aug 31, 2019 - 6 years old

Farm- Pitching Machine (ages 6-8)
Manager can select up to 6 player requests
  • Sept 1, 2018-Aug 31, 2019 - 6 years old
  • Sept 1, 2017-Aug 31, 2018 - 7 years old
  • Sept 1, 2016-Aug 31, 2017 - 8 years old

Minors - Player Pitch (ages 8-10) (this is for players moving up to AA in Spring or wanting to improve their AA/AAA skills).
Manager can select up to 4 player requests
  • Sept 1, 2016-Aug 31, 2017 - 8 years old
  • Sept 1, 2015-Aug 31, 2016 - 9 years old
  • Sept 1, 2014-Aug 31, 2015 - 10 years old

Majors - Advanced (ages 10-12) (this division is best for returning spring AAA or Major players) (Fall Ball placement does not guarantee players a spot on a Spring Majors team, unless they are a returning 2023 Spring Majors player or league age 12).
*DRAFT (Manager can select up to 3 player requests - Fall Ball only) (no tryouts in Fall)
  • Sept 1, 2014-Aug 31, 2015 - 10 years old
  • Sept 1, 2013-Aug 31, 2014 - 11 years old
  • Sept 1, 2012-Aug 31, 2013 - 12 years old

Juniors - 13 and 14 year olds (this is for our players that aged out of Majors from Spring 2023 and will have to play Juniors in Spring 2024, or new/ returning Junior players)
*DRAFT (Manager can select up to 3 player requests - Fall Ball only) (no tryouts in Fall)
  • Sept 1, 2011-Aug 31, 2012 - 13 years old
  • Sept 1, 2010-Aug 31, 2011 - 14 years old

*DRAFT DATE:
We will have a draft with managers in the Majors and Juniors divisions in late August (location and time TBD).
Majors and Juniors coaches can select up to 3 players before the start of the draft.
